Claude: Frame Relay description. God help us if this makes sense to anybody. Frame Relay provides a packet switching data comunications capability that is used accross the interface between USER devices (routers, bridges, host machines) and network equipment (switching nodes). The network providing the Frame Relay interface can be either carrier provided public network or a network of privately owned equipment serving a single enterprise. FSCX chiefly manufatures FRADS, Frame Relay Access Devices. A FRAD is a packet assembler or disassembler device to convert between different types of packets of information. In Charlie Brown terms, as I understand Mr. Schultz's character <G>, Frame Relay allows many different types of computers using different methods of transfering data to comunicate with each other. FRADs are the devices that are attached to each end of the information link to provide the logic necessary for the computers to 'speak' to each other. Wow, that was a lot, and I'm not sure entirely correct but that's my understanding of the technology and that's what's being installed all over the world. South America is actually deploying the Unix systems and that is why it was so important for FSCX to buy Comstat and to get that Unix agreement signed a month or so ago. The fact that the technology is too confusing for most analysts to comprehend is one of the main reasons that FSCX doesn't get coverage yet. That and the fact that Maddsen (CEO) doesn't give them any help with estimates because he hasn't known during this R&D phase up stage himself. But Analysts DO understand earnings. And if I'm right (a scarry thought in itself <VBG>) we are about to see a real explosion in these numbers that will bring FSCX into the Small Cap range and out of Micro Cap Hell. The Sales Force is truly the key at this point! And we've got the talent. Let's hope we've got the right coach. IMO we do. I need an aspirin. Good Luck! Rick..
