Them "kudos" may be homing in supersonic... It doesn't add up, Nadine. Now Assad has a common three hundred miles border with an idle US army + a couple of flattops almost anchored in front of his sea resorts.

So how much of a great Arab Sword Swinger can he be?

Yesterday (already?!)he was warned in the most public and undiplomatic way.

Today Rumsfeld and Fleicher called him an inexperienced kid.

Assad locked himself in with his ugly guests...

What is he going to say: "I can't hand the villains out because of the Arab hospitality bit ?"

And now it's too late to play the game secretly. For both sides. My guess is that this is what the US wanted: as long as some top Irakis officials are unaccounted for, possibly hiding in Syria waiting for a magical comeback, the US army has another reason not to leave Irak.

Furthermore Mofaz, this morning warned Syria, that now it's a new deal with new rules on the Lebanese border.

There is only one solution: this Assad is stupid.
