But that doesn't mean Bush is to blame for 9-11. He just wasn't on the ball
Remember what I said specificly. Often the word Bush is tossed around to mean the administration in general or people who speak in Bush's name. The evidence shows that George W. Bush did not personally plan any attack, allow any attack, or even make himself aware that such a thing was more than a vague background threat. He was selected by Cheney, Rumsfeld, and the neocons because he was photogenic, had name recognition, and clueless. If George had not followed all their orders as Texas governor they would have gone with Jeb.
The neocons, Rumsfeld, Perle, Wolfenstein and others have been planning a scenario for years that needed a strong and powerfull threat to get the public support behind it. They kept Bush distracted with stem cells and other items that they convinced him were very important and would require months of pondering and cedar chopping, but essentially just kept him out of the loop while something happened. They too didn't know just what it would be, but they knew that if they pulled the FBI back that something big would happen.
It did, Bush peed in his pants while flying to safety as the neocons whipped up hysteria, and he emerged with a new epiphany that he must follow the neocon way. It was a classic persuasion technique used both on Bush and the American public. That is how a group of unelected, self selected old men set the world to war.
