RICHMOND, Calif. -- A body washed up on the Richmond shore Monday, just one day after a the discovery of a dead infant in the same area.

Authorities would not release any details, but did confirm that a body was found at Point Isabel near the Richmond Marina.

Two people walking their dogs discovered the infant Sunday on a shoreline trail near Seabreeze Drive south of the city's Breakers residential district, according to Richmond police.

The Contra Costa County Coroner has since identified it as a full-term male.

Meanwhile, investigators from the Modesto Police Department have been flown to the scene.

They have been in the area several times over the past few months searching for clues in the disappearance of Laci Peterson, a pregnant Modesto woman who was reported missing Christmas Eve.
