During the 21st and 22nd Centuries, Mankind will merge with its stepchild, the machine. Cybernetic organisms -- Manchines, if you will -- will apdapt to space easily and move outward to the stars. Lifespans will increase exponentially and eventually be measured in tens of thousands of years.
