Call me over-protective, but I'm just not prepared to get another new hard drive and start from scratch." btw, this comment, and others like it in your post, tell me that you are approaching security as a process rather than searching for one product that will do it. it's an example of what i have been mentioning here lately. very good. "I'm told that there's also an excellent firewall at agnitum.com and a great cleaner at moosoft.com, but I haven't checked them out yet." you're right, good programs. and there are many more like them, each with strong points and weak points and areas of personal preference. it might be a kick to start a series of posts wherein posters identify what security programs they have in place.
