If you think Eagleberger is a lose cannon, test him out.......have Bush invade Syria.

Well, I think there are obviously insufficient grounds for an "invasion" at this time; but that doesn't mean it is okay for a former Secretary of State to be going around shooting off his mouth like this, in effect, weakening the international view of the president's authority.

This is a democracy..........people can say what they please. And that means Bush's ability to do things is limited.

Interestingly, the administration has said, from the outset, that it has no interest in taking military action in Syria. It seems to be just another case of the media running wild because the administration is using tough rhetoric (as it should be).

Actually, this administration is not very straightforward in its intent. While Fleischer and Blair are both claiming Bush has no plans to go into Syria, its reported that Rumsfeld is asking for war plans to invade Syria from the pentagon. Is it surprising that people get mixed messages from this administration?

The truth is Bush would like nothing better than to invade Syria but "its the economy stupid" keeps hanging over his head.

Nonetheless, I think you should contact Party Headquarters and get them to encourage Bush to invade. <g>
