It appears at this juncture the Bush & Co still want to go for another invasion war right after the Iraq war is done, with Israel pushing from behind.

From the military standpoint, quickly moving into another war (as Sharon demanded) against another weak nation in the Middle East the day Iraq is done will have greater chance to win the next war. If it’s delayed, the target countries may finished building stronger weapon systems and stronger ties with the other major countries for its self defense (the current Iran and Russia situation is showing that tendency, for example). And if it’s delayed, it will also take another big campaign later to motivate America to a new war.

But at the same time it also appears to me that the Bush Administration is facing a number of main problems and obstacles if it wants to invade Syria or Iran right after Iraq invasion:

_What the world will react, especially what the other major powers like Russia, France, Germany and China will react this time? These old US allies and friends totally changed their traditional supportive attitudes towards the US and were strongly against US invasion of Iraq. These countries did not use specific action to block the US war against Iraq. But what measures will these countries take this time if US continue to invade another country in the Middle East region, in anticipating that US will control the oil supplies which are vital to these countries.

_The reason (as the Bush government declared) for Iraq invasion was to eliminate Saddam’s WMDs. Now Bushies have done the invasion with huge bombings and killings without UN’s authorization but they found no WMDs in Iraq(which confirmed the speculation well before the war that Bushies would wage the war with or without excuse any way). What reason Busies will tell the Americans they need to go for another war in the Middle East and get their support(except, of course, they are claiming Saddam’s WMDs are now hided in Syria or Iraq)?

_American people would ask their government: Is more invasion wars in the Middle East would reduce the terrorists or just the opposite? Without the helps of the traditional allies and friends around the world, how can the US win the so called “the war against the terrorism”?

_Support from Britain for this Iraq war was shaky. Will Britain support US(which largely lent some kind of moral help that the US badly needed when go to war against the UN Security Council's will) for another war in the Middle East after Iraq is done?(the likelihood of getting Britain support seems low right now). If not, do Bushies want to go alone to invade the next country in the Middle East?

_ How many innocent people will be killed in the next invasion war? (No sure the pro-war government care but for sure it knows the rest of the world care).

_Can US afford to pay another dozens of billions dollars for another war right after the Iraq war(the bill for Iraq war was 75 billions according to report)? And is the US government willing to further take political and American soldiers’ lives risks for the new war?

And people would again ask: We are doing all these for what and who? At what costs?

Let’s see how things pan out next.
