What lapse? That CNN didn't report Saddam was torturing his people? That wasn't news. You're kidding, right? It doesn't bother you just a little bit that CNN was coloring its news reporting on Iraq to insure they could maintain an Iraqi bureau? Excuse me, they weren't "coloring" the news; they were omitting from their news reports the worst aspects of the regime........major difference. Talk about misplaced trust! I can't imagine even an extremist neo-liberal being THAT naive... Do you understand your whole hangup re. liberal vs conservative is a little twisted?
