some of the good news from INTC:

Intel issued its second-quarter guidance based on current expectations, but
said uncertainty in the global economy makes it difficult to predict product
demand.

motherboards, flash memory chips and ethernet connectivity products were all
lower. Chipset shipments were flat.

Earlier Tuesday, Intel said it would delay shipments of its latest Pentium 4
processor because of problems discovered in some chips.

Intel Corp.'s (INTC) strong results bode well for the
rest of the technology sector, said Ashok Kumar, senior technology analyst for
U.S. Bancorp Piper Jaffray.
