It is a great week, and a proud one to be Canadian.

1.

Mike Weir won the green jacket wearing a red maple leaf on his cap. He was not afraid to show that he is a Canadian, even though there could be some in the sea of American spectators that may heckle him. In his speech, he said he was glad he didn't let Canada down, and he thanked the Canadian supporters. When Ernie and Vijay won their green jackets, I didn't hear them mentioning their countries.

2.

Quebecers decided to remain a distinct society within Canada rather than a separate society. Charest, like any other provincial premier, has the obligation to try and get as much as he can from Ottawa, which is fine as long as there is no special treatment.... otherwise Trudeau will rise from the grave.

3.

I read Americans tourists are pretending to be Canadians in some countries so as not to be maligned. It's good to know that they won't spit in the soup we order.
