Silly me, I wait a half a second and look even when I have the green light. I also look at the tires of any on coming vehicles when it's slick, they're not turning and the vehicle isn't slowing, it won't stop. Side impacts also tend to roll vehicles and toss people out. 24 years without an accident or a ticket, that's how you stay alive.
