Summarily rejecting someone who doesn't conform to one's point of view is par for the course on the Internet, unfortunately. Summarily rejecting a journalist who has a good track record while writing for a respectable publication raises eyebrows. Attacking a fellow poster for posting an essay by a journalist with a good track record who writes for a respectable publication raises red flags.
