WOW, John. I'm surprised, to say the very least. That post of yours was wayyyyyyyyy out of kilter, at least IMO. You must have had a particularly stressing last few days, what with the war, living so close to NYC, and then having to do taxes for yourselves, and others in your family.

I'm sorry.

But, when you re-read your post tomorrow, most probably you will want to apologize to Hawk.

The tax situation has gotten out of hand for everyone making more than $50,000. The folks making less than that, pay little or no federal taxes. The people who are making from $100,000 to $1,000,000 are considered various levels of rich to rich, rich.... This of course, is a two income family. Then look at costs of living.

The key is cut spending.

I think we should look at EVERY single budget item that is on the budget versus that of the original Income Tax budget, or at least the US Budget of 1920 forward. Keep those items which make sense, and get rid of those that don't.

And, support legal immigration, but STOP illegal immigration. And get our Government to tell us how many refugees are coming into the country every single year. Those folks qualify for every single benefit we have. And our Senior citizens who supported us in WWI and II forward don't qualify for most of the same benefits as do the refugees.

But then, what do I know.
