The reported three-part ultimatum sounds like more than would be dished out at this point, and I have a hard time believing that it's real. If it's not real, and someone wants us to think it is, one has to wonder why.


debka might easily exaggerate it, though I don't think they usually make stuff up from whole cloth. But they could very easily have blown something said to them along these lines out of proportion, because, of course, it's music to their ears. Israel has been counting down on their fingers until the date when either they or Hizbullah kick off the next Lebanese/Syrian/Israeli war. But if the US wants to cut in, no hard feelings.
