By year-end FY97, the fast-growing Supercenters (estimated to be growing at triple the rate of the business as a whole) will account for an estimated 25% of total sales and operating profit at Wal-Mart. Food, and related items account for an estimated one-third to one-half of Supercenter sales and operating profits.
