excellent, excellent post earlie.

frankly, i do not understand how anyone could have bet the wrong way on crude. once the pieces of the war effort fell into place, (mid march) the direction was quite simply a fait accompli, imo (i do believe we had sufficient operatives within the borders to prevent any large scale sabotage, plus the extensive psy-op campaign)

and the near complete dependence on the american consumer for economic growth...

is it enough to prime the pump as it were?

i have my serious doubts, longer term, but i also think we get a short reprieve as consumer confidence continues to recover....dedicated bargain shoppers that they are <g>

and considering the broad based overcapacity the blue light specials should abound.
