As I see it, Hawk in your mind is guilty of simply linking an article that does not reflect your views. Not something to get bothered about. It might be best to try to refute Samuelson.

And, by the way, you were not literally or figuratively in ken's living room shooting the breeze. You were posting for the world to see. Those types of discussions invite commentary.

If you really want to be in a private living room where there is no peanut gallery to disturb you, it might be best to discuss these private issues via PM. Just my opinion.

I do understand your aggravation, though--no one likes April 15. If your return is complex, you might want to consider using a CPA and pay him to do the worrying for you.
It's what I do after learning the lesson the hard way. The fees are deductible.
