If a few airlines go under because we stop coddleing them then air travel will continue and maybe eventually become profitable. If we keep pouring on the subsidies then it will also be a losing industry. I tend to agree with you; however, if "a few airlines go under" that will be a lot of jobs lost. I am not sure how well the economy could take that lose right now. ted
