Did you catch the classic bipolar moment on "Kudlow & Cramer" last night? That moment when, a few minutes after admitting how crummy the economy is with Secretary of the Treasury John Snow, we came back and said the economy may be showing signs of stirring because of good quarters from Citigroup, Fannie Mae, Yahoo! and Bank of America?

Could both visions be right? If you look at it from the outside, it seems downright duplicitous to be asking for a big tax relief package and saying that we can afford to run up a lot of national debt because the economy is so soft -- and then coming right back and saying the economy's getting better.
