All decisions come from Rumsfeld's office and the military has to like it or lump it. If there was any coordination that is where to look.

I've already said I don't believe a museum would even be in the scope of the military war plan. I meant that the coordination came from within the Iraqi government.

I still think the most likely scenario is that Rumsfeld ordered that the looting of government buildings not be stopped

I don't think most people would take issue with that if it were true. You really should look at it from a perspective of being on the ground over there yourself in the heat of battle and see if you would worry about government buildings. I don't think I would.

I don't know how to explain any coordination between our forces and the looters without scaring myself even more.

That statement alone should cause you re-examine your theory. Especially given that most of us - at least the ones posting - think it's not a plausible one.
