Don't you think they might have been a bit busy dodging helicopters on the way to Syria and wouldn't have taken the time to stop for a 7000 pound bronze bust on the way?

If the Bathists loaded their trunk before leaving it would probably be with something they could fence easily, like gold, diamonds, or autographed pictures of Saddam and Rumsfeld.
