It is a matter of focusing on the exception and not the pattern.

That is precisely what you've been doing for the last two days!

I never said the museum looting wasn't important. My opinion was that it was not a major event given the scope of what is going on. I treasure historical items very much, but I am not focusing on one incident and ignoring the pattern of the whole.

The end of a torturous way of life for the iraqis; The capture and or death of countless terrorists; The opportunity to soften opinions about Americans in future generations of middle easterners.. all of that and more is what I think are the big victories here.

I also think some of the terrorist organizations and countries that aid them will think twice before acting against us. I think we are safer today as a result of the war. In light of all the issues this war involves, I simply find the museum looting a pitiful excuse for something to criticize given all the positive and good things that have come and may yet come from this war.
