It's always timely to cut through the left wing bullshit and point out that the anti-American feeling in Europe is centered in that tiny group that dominates their media-which is even MORE Marxist/Leninist anti-West and anti-Hamunity than our own "establishment" media.
America remains, with that vast majority in Europe, and a sizable majority in the rest of the world, a dream, a sort of Eden, that can only be imagined, though they would all love to experience it, even for a day. There is overwhelming ENVY for Iraq, because America has liberated them, and will now clean up the bullshit despots who have kept them down for so long. Iraq has a bright future, that the "Arab Street" can only hope for on a distant day.
That's the only real danger of the way this war was fought. There are so few Islamics in the streets NOW that wouldn't like to be invaded in the same way. We may find ourselves being INVITED to move against the failed third world more and more often. Instead, they need to take control of their OWN destiny. Syrians and Jordanians need to rise against their own corrupt leaders AS WELL AS the Palestinian SCUM who squat in their countries, consume their resources, and produce nothing... |
