I agree, LB. We have done what we said we were going to do, and that is rid Iraq of Saddam and friends, or at least we certainly hope so. BUT our Military are still there, and will be until the country can be operational on their own.

I think Americans are going to have to know that our men and women over there did the best they and we could, and that many have given their lives, for both America to help get rid of terrorism and at least one head terrorist, and for Iraqi citizens so that they could have a chance for freedom and democracy.

What they do with that chance is up to them. They probably won't get another chance. Life seems to work that way.

Regarding the Museum and the Library....I think time will sort that out. And I think Interpol will help as well.

We cannot buy "goodwill" as you noted. There are always those that will attempt to blame America for whatever flavor of problem-of-the-day. We will have to wise up now, and understand that, then speak out ourselves.

If there is one thing our AID programs have taught us since WWII it is that you can't "Buy" goodwill. Gotta be earned by what we do, not what we say or money we throw around.
