<widespread demonstrations as we responded to 9/11 in Afghanistan>

There were no demonstrations in the U.S. against the war in Afghanistan. There have been repeated demonstrations in every large, and most small cities, against the war in Iraq. The vast majority of Americans who are against the Iraqi war (and will be even more against any further adventures), were in favor of the war on Afghanistan. Including me. There are actually almost no Americans who are ideological pacifists, who say "all wars are wrong."

He is deliberately confusing and conmingling the distinct opinions/motivations of:
1. Americans about the war on Afghanistan
2. Americans about the war on Iraq, and
3. non-Americans
