Cash is King. But you are right that fear may play an important factor. I think Marc? said buy bonds with government garauntees. That is fine in Canada, where we haven't had a bank failure for years. But as I recall, the US had their S&L bailout, etc. The way I understand it they have many more regional (small) banks rather than the big 5 that we have up here.
