Whoever puts the words into the Donaldson puppet's wooden mouth only half gets it (putting him way ahead of the NYT and LA Times), Bush can't be hurt at ALL by bad economic news-as he PROVED in 2002-because the idiot left keeps fighting tooth and nail against the tax reforms that would create GOOD economic news. As long as the Dems are seen as protecting the Clinton/Rubin economic catastrophe, they OWN the bad economic news, and can't get that stench off them. Nor can they knuckle under and give Bush what he wants. They remember the decades-long PROSPERITY Reagan created when they tried that strategy with him... The Dems are in a box that is getting smaller and smaller-while the American public gets wiser and wiser...
