Abbas should walk free. He has renounced terrorism, a path he chose out of desperation. That is well understood by all sides, even the Israelis. Certainly, there was far more wanton killing by the Israelis than by the Palestinians in the pre-Oslo period (and since). Abbas is a drop in the bucket compared to Sharon.

And yet, this is being portrayed as capturing a fugitive who nobody could find. Assuming this absurd characterization to be true, should we commence bombing of Israel for sheltering a known terrorist?
