CENTREX RETAINS CRESCENT FUND, INC.

TULSA. July 11, 2002. Centrex, Inc. (OTC BB: CNEX) today announced that Crescent Fund, Inc., a private equity firm with offices in New York, Dallas and Los Angeles has been retained to provide corporate capitalization and investor relations consulting services.

Crescent Fund is a private equity firm that invests on a principal basis and acts in an agency capacity to procure capital for emerging small-cap companies. Crescent will identify institutional funding sources and will complement the investor relations activities of Centrex.

“We are pleased to be associated with Centrex, a company that is in the process of developing a technology to provide for the immediate detection of agents that could be used in biological warfare against the United States”, said Jeffery S. Stone, Managing Director.

Centrex owns the exclusive worldwide license to develop, manufacture and market a system for detecting microbial contamination in air, food and water. The detection system is designed to be adaptable and easily tailored to detect a variety of bacterial or viral organisms by recognizing the unique DNA fingerprint of the organism.

Since the September 11th attacks and the subsequent bioterrorism attacks through the U.S. mail, the Company has expanded its mission to include the development of technology for the rapid detection of potential bioterrorism agents. The organisms being considered for detection by the proposed device include all those named in the validated threat list published by the Defense Intelligence Agency, in addition to several other potential biowarfare agents. The proposed device is a simultaneous multi-channel detection system that is compact, fully automated and capable of monitoring the presence of biological agents in air, food and water.
