Steve: I just read that story about Exponential's patents--it says that their "Merced-like" chip patent predates the HP/Intel Merced patent by over 6 months and could render the Intel patent invalid--it also says to expect a bidding war from Intel and the rest of the chip companies including AMD. Now in a bidding war over something that threatens an Intel patent, who's gonna win! I think it might be the 5ft2 210 lb. power lifter's company. :)
