That's exactly how most of the world sees it. Al Queda, Hezbollah, Hamas, they do all the same social service work that Graham's organization does (providing food, clothing, schools, hospitals), and for the same reasons: as a means to an end. In both cases, the purpose is to spread their ideology, their religios beliefs, and the earthly power structures that maintain that ideology. Graham doesn't have to personally support armed attacks, because he already has all the guns on his side: his good buddy the President, wields the biggest Stick the world has ever seen. And it is a breathtakingly stupid PR move, to even think about allowing him into Iraq. |
