<I think the Marines should take her on a tour of Saddam's dungeons, and let her try out her attitude on some newly released prisoners. Especially from the prison for children. >

Nadine, That would be more persuasive than the pointing of a barrel of a gun at her, which was apparently done. Why point a gun if not considering shooting? Why consider shooting her, who was obviously unarmed and harmless? Soldiers are notoriously tough when confronting unarmed civilians, women etc.

Pointing a gun at her is confirming for her that while Saddam's torture chambers might be horrific, the incoming invaders are showing the same stripe. They'll use brutal force or the threat of it to get their way.

Anyway, Saddam's stuff is history. All that matters now is whether the incoming bosses do okay. Pointing guns at unarmed women is very nasty and bullying. The fact is that the USA troops did kill children, so her sign was correct.
