Canada: Enerplus Trust (ERF), NCE Petrofund (NCN), Primewest Energy (PWI) USA: HGT, SJT ... and have been pleasantly surprised that they actually do pay out. Handily beating my treasury strips (effectively nothing), better than my HK/China shares (4-6%), higher than the SAfrican miners(5-7%), and about the same as my Asian bonds (10%), but not as high as my Pakistani Hub Power dividends (34%) :0) I do not have a feel for where the gas prices go during the summer (presumably down), where the royalty prices go (I assume not up) and so am reluctant to add at this time. What say you on this issue? <<tax implication>> HK has none, because we do have great respect for capital and its deserved returns; but Canada deducts a 25% withholding for overseas investors.
