FWIW, since the article mentions Bernard Kouchner, that's one person from France I have respect for. He's seen first hand what goes on in Africa during his time with MSF and knows a whole lot better than the majority of armchair Parisian "experts" what the situations really are in these countries. I haven't heard what he may have said about the Iraq situation, but his expertise is very real.
