Why ADI will easily double your money in a short time:

techweb.com

Yes this is TI one of ADI's biggest competitors for DSPs. But the market is exploding and ADI will share in this market big time. Their SLICs will grow at about 17% and SPLICs at about 22% (?). Add to this growth the monstrous expected growth in DSPs (I think ADI is being conservative at saying 25%) and you will quickly see that ADI should be able to more than easily double (more likely increase by 150%) its revenue over the next 4 or 5 years. Add to this the fact that they have been well managed, have a broad customer base, and the production efficiencies that come with ramping up of the new technologies and it is not very difficult to see ADI's "fair value" at around 60 in the next three - five years. Most likely we shall see this price level much sooner because of what I like to call the "mania-premium" that is accorded semiconductor companies every 6 months or so (i.e., market bumps up stock's "fair value" by 30 - 50% based on market euphoria for the sector).
