Michael,

I have prepared a new portfolio which adjusts my 2003 contest entry for the OGSI, so that:

1. the basis of the remaining 7 issues total the original $100,000,

2. the allocation of the 4/11 value of OGSI is distributed equally.

This has the benefit of showing an accurate % gain/loss for the ease of your eyes, but it depends on an averaging of the purchase price and consequently made me go to the 10-column paper to figure out. It has the disadvantage of inconsistency with Rick's approach, but then we haven't seen Nigel's method.

I could post the calculations or do it Rick's way or I could just tell you whether I won or not in December.

Now that the tax man has had it with you maybe you could consider this important matter. Will defer to your wishes.
