My company is getting ready to install a SAN and we are getting quotes from a reseller that specializes in Sun. (Our network is a combination of Sun and Wintel servers.) I haven't seen the final recommended configuration yet but based on discussions I've had with my colleague, it appears that one of the new 64-port switches from the Q is in the mix. (They were originally pushing a McData solution.) Interestingly enough, this same reseller is recommending that we avoid HP servers because of problems with their HBA's. Of course, I got this information second-hand and I don't know what the problems are. Isn't HP primarily an Emulex OEM?
