I don't believe in subsidizing failed companies. I agree it is a natural and necessary thing to allow less efficient to fail. I do think high corporate taxes in general have acted as a disincentive to profit. In avoiding taxes companies have taken on debt while putting too much emphasis on generating capital gains for their shareholders over making profits and paying out dividends.
