OLDTRADER, RE: There are 5700 hedge funds now and they are 33% in cash-a large majority of these "managers are emporerers without clothes" -amatuers--anyone of them.---The idea that -"no proven tested real track records in most cases-".How can they amass so much money from so many idiots!-5700 hedge funds with 33% now in cash-taking people to the cleaners-I guess the investors in them deserve what they get-down 23% on average over the past 12 months!

And the hedge funds that have lost money will lose clients and die.

Those that make their clients money won't have that problem.

And that isn't any different than stock brokers, financial planners, or money managers.

I am fortunate in that I haven't accepted money for almost a decade now and don't have to worry about that at all.

You note that many hedge funds don't have a proven tested track record, and that's accurate. But, then again, that's also accurate when you talk about any investment manager, whether it is a stock broker, regular buy side money manager, or even a financial planner. Given your criticism, can I assume that you provide your clients and prospects with an audited track record?
