Not true, Yiwu. And I think you have read enough about it to know that. Whatever happened, you can only blame the US for a sin of omission. Blame the Iraqis who did this for a sin of commission.

And don't rush to judgement here until the facts are in. The "keys to the safe" part of this makes it look like an inside job.
