You may have forgotten about the time we were canoeing down the fast moving Owens River outside Bishop CA. You were in a canoe with Ron, and I had your sister with me. We came around a bend too wide and got slammed into and pinned up against a canyon wall made of soft clay which promptly started falling into the canoe and sinking it. I still don't know how we got out of there other than I totally panicked and pushed as hard as I could. It would have dragged us under and kept us there. You and Ron had already gone by and would have had no way to get back to us.
