Hi energyplay, <<Burma>> is a done deal, with PRC army engineering building a strategic highway to the ocean, long range over the horizon silk worms not far behind, plus land-based versions of reverse engineered Russian Sunburns in due course, even as merchants and more merchants going around spending RMB buying up assets of various sorts.

I find it amusing that some Chinese embezzlers and corporate bad guys make a run to Burma after pocketing gains, and then get sent back on a simple phone call from Beijing. Foolish optmists.

For whatever reason India has chosen to go the aircraft carrier way, perhaps more for show than realistic military strategy.

In any case, I think an Indian/China strategic cooperation is in the cards already, how far down the deck is an unknown. All simply part of what Rumsfeld triggered and Bush signed on to. Two-way trades are breaking successive monthly records, as lubricant for relationship building and PR path paving.

Chugs, Jay
