Also interesting that Burma has been issueing Burmese passports and citizenship to Chinese nationals on request, maybe in exchange for $$. Northern Burma becoming more and more Han. Burma also has oil resources. Burmesse Democracy movement may represent a threat to this, or they could cut a deal of alliance with China in return for help dumping the generals. Inda aircraft carriers - I somehow get he feeling taht Indai is not as expansionist (at least now) as some other countries we could mention. Aircraft carriers would allow India to respond to threats from either East or West, defend their long coast lines, and help provide muscle & persuation for developing/ exploiting East Africa. Very cost effective for divers threats.
