Jacob, developing a good constitution and finding leaders who believe in it and can sell it to Iraqis is a high priority imo. Personally I cannot think of a better constitution to serve as the foundation for others than the US constitution. But of course I do not think we should transplant it there without respecting their culture. Iraq is a very difficult case because it lies upon so many geopolitical and ethnic fault lines. I think we should help them come up with a good solution because I don't think they can do it without help in a short period of time. The constitution is one of those rare cases that I favor interference. I am with you with regards to feminism and religious missionaries and most other issues.
