ahem... lets backtarck just a wee bit. The intention behind my post was "India is a less than 60 year democracy, in that time, India has made major progress". Some others responded "it was dynastic., inherited" etc. They seem to have forgotten that millions voted. No answer on "do we have a black or female Prez in the US" after 200+ years of democracy. I guess its an embarrisng question to ask.
