If Bush is so great name one success of his besides taking out Afghanistan? And any president would have done that. Also ask yourself if he is blameless for 9-11 as well as the worst economy since the mid 70's. You clearly adore Bush, but he's had many more failures than successes and it doesn't look like he can reverse than in the next year or so.

As for Iraq, our military sure kicked butt and are great, but our military is not Bush. The president made the decision to go in, yet Bush clearly lied/exaggerated about the rationale for going in there in the first place. And the jury is still out on whether or not the longterm Iraq situation will be any better for US interests, other than for some of our oil companies of course.

I'm optimistic in some ways but damage has also been done, and the Iraq War also put the global economy on standstill for about a year. What a great cost that was.

Anyway, the Iraq War is clearly Bush's #1 focus and issue. So the next question is whether taking over Iraq really solves any of our major problems. And who really benefits?

According to polls, Americans supported the war once Bush had made up his mind, but few people ever believed Saddam was one of our top 5 or 10 problems to solve. Now that we've seen what a paper tiger Saddam really was, maybe he wasn't even in our top 15 or 20 problems.
