Since the "Rambus triplets" have so little of value to say here, I thought I would see what is being said on Yahoo.

Here is a few I found interesting, posted by people relatively Bullish on Rambus.

FWIW, you should not buy options, or even leaps, unless you are prepared to lose your entire investment at expiration. I have been trading Rambus leaps (among others) and plan to continue to do so, but given that recent legal developments have stretched out the timeline, even the 2005 leaps appear to be a considerable risk, since they are only about 20 months away from expiration. The FTC may be resolved, but it may still be on appeal. The Richmond case should be resolved by then, but it may be on appeal at that also. Micron will likely be over and on appeal. Hynix may not be completed. In Europe, matters could be resolved by then, but who knows. So if there are no settlements, legal issues may still be in process in 20 months. The only other thing that could move this stock is signicant new earnings developments, but there are only 6 or 7 quarterly reports before 2005 leaps expire. I like leaps for the leverage if we get a big move, but they are riskier than holding the stock.

Best bet is still to own the stock if you believe in the potential of the company. As far as options go - it comes down to when settlements will occur. This is a guess as to the chances for timing of settlements - FWIW :

10% - between May & Nov 2003
- FTC brokers an industry wide settlement
20% - between Nov 2003 & March 2004
- IFX comes to it's senses (after S.C. says no thanks), Rambus siezes the moment with an offer IFX cannot refuse
30% - by the end of 2004
75% - by the end of 2005
95% - by the end of 2006

Don't see much happening too soon, this is gonna be dead money for awhile I'm afraid (still a good trader for a point or so on swings)! Now their is a new one I've been playing with just as good a story but less legal baggage. Kinda pricey now but it's gonna run for a few years.............XMSR, Yup the radio thingy, same growth curve and yes it's a story stock also but it's playing out to the story so far. Some call it the stock of the decade, but we'll see about that!
Rambus is stuck until the legal picture becomes more clear............that could take 3 months or 4 years. The big money is gonna try to squash Rambus every chance it gets over the next few years! Do I think the big money is gonna win?..........Nope, but the stock just might not go anywhere for a few years fighting off the scum also (anything can happen but it looks like were on waiting mode again for the courts). Remember, the name of the game is to buy a stock and be able to sell it to a bigger dope at a higher price......this is all a game (a big boys game) so don't play it like it's a cause for being right or the guy that plays fair always wins.
Many a thing can still go wrong in this picture, so play it softly! Just a thing to keep in mind is you can buy and sell what ever you want in 1 minute..........you won't miss a thing. Buy stops are great to have so you won't miss a run from news. I'll stop my preachin for now....Bump. Everyone have a nice Easter or Holiday!
