Absolutely.....

I love to camp and have a friend that does too. One time we were camping at a lovely spot near a river in Washington. I had a little trailer and she tent camped. The camp kitchen was set up on the site and she did all her cooking there. I usually did too........other than when we needed to bake something, then we used the trailer.

About two days into the camping trip she asked me if I had seen the yellow dog yet? I hadn't seen a yellow dog, but she said that she had seen it twice, and she couldn't explain it but it didn't look like it was really there. One time she saw it at the door to my trailer and another running down the road in the campground.

The week went by and occasionally I asked if she had seen the yellow dog again. She said she hadn't seen it since those first few days of camping.

We had set up some games for a 50th birthday party we were giving for my husband. The guests weren't due to arrive until later that afternoon, and her and I were still the only ones there. To kill some time, I was playing darts. One of the darts flew past the board and fell into the low brush right behind it. I went over, bent down to find it when all of a sudden the air became thick, there was total silence like time stopped, and the sense that someone or something was looking at me. I slowly turned around and there, for just a moment, was a yellow dog with big, brown, dead eyes not more than two feet away from me. I could literally see through him while at the same time see him. The next moment he was gone.

I didn't see the dog again, and I've never been back to that particular campground. I asked the Forest service manager if there had ever been an abandoned yellow dog or a yellow dog ghost story in the area. He hadn't ever heard of one.

I was always very sceptical of ghost stories, but I believe them now.
