| I learned a long time ago, that for me, job satisfaction is critical in my life, and has no correlation to money. One of the highest paid jobs I ever had, clerking for an extremely big law firm, had me looking out the window, thinking about every pulse of my blood, and every minute of my life I had agreed to sell, as I worked at a job I hated. I know everyone doesn't have the luxury to find a job perfectly suited to them, but it is very sad that so many labor for money as the ultimate goal- our society worships money, fame and a certain narrow standard of beauty. I wish we could broaden our values, since I think it would make us a happier country. |
